Our Chef de Cuisine, Trevor Stephens, holds an Interprovincial Red Seal Certificate and received classical training at Fanshawe College.
 
He comes to the Idlewyld after spending nine years at our sister Inn, Ingersoll’s Elm Hurst Inn & Spa, where he achieved the title of Sous Chef.
 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 


Meet our Pastry Chef Rob Howland
 

Pastry Chef Rob HowlandAfter training at the prestigious Culinary Institute of Canada Rob worked as Pastry Chef on the Queen Elizabeth II, Rodd Crowbush Golf and Beach Resort and The Confederation Center of The Arts.

He returned to his Ontario roots as Pastry Chef at Cambridge's Langdon Hall, Relais & Châteaux for over four years. Rob then relocated to London where he opened Braise Food and Wine as Pastry Chef with Kristian Crossen as Executive Chef.

Chef Howland then went back to university to get his teaching certification and is now teaching Hospitality and Tourism for the Thames Valley District School Board.

In his spare time, he plays with his two kids and practices his craft as our Pastry Chef at the Idlewyld!
